About Me

Traumatic Brain Injury didn’t stop me from relearning to read and paint.

Hearing impairment didn’t stop me from moving abroad or learning languages.

Pain and fear won’t stop me from creating happy memories and spreading hope.

Hope Heart & Healing

Go on a walk everyday. Notice the clouds in the sky, leaves crunching, mountain air, & colorful trees swaying. Hammock above a river. Camp under the stars.

Play Games

My favorite games include Rummikub, SkipBo, Ticket to Ride Europe, Cover Your Assets, Five Crowns, Phase 10, Scum, Mancala, and "He Said, She Said". If I'm sick, I'll play Solitaire or Yahtzee.

My favorite painting music is Enya or Les Miserables. I also love Songs from a Secret Garden, Schubert and Chopin. I sing alto. I'm right handed but started learning guitar strung left-handed.

Little moments of progress are a big deal. Have a party with family and friends to celebrate. If alone, you can still laugh lots watching Dry Bar Comedy, Studio C, JK Studios, Random Acts, or baby polar bears.

Anyone can be creative even if you thought you weren't artistic. I am living proof. I also enjoy learning how to cook cultural dishes, calligraphy lettering, book-binding, photography, and writing.

Daily writing at least one "happy moment" changed everything for the better. I'm happier when I focus on what I do have and still can do. "I'm not where I wanna be but I'm not where I used to be."

300+ Miracles

Flowers were delivered by a stranger.

I was given literally hundreds of rides, meals, and help from countless people.

I bought home before relearning how to read. I started reading on a 1st grade level.

God answers my every prayer. I am so grateful for Jesus Christ helping me when my challenges seemed impossible.*

“Don’t limit yourself and don’t let others convince you that you are limited in what you can do. Believe in yourself and then live so as to reach your possibilities.

You can achieve what you believe you can. Trust and believe and have faith.”
